Then, arrive in Port Stanley to take in the windswept Falkland Islands, where you’ll want to take advantage of the opportunity to see several species of penguins like King, Magellanic, Gentoo, and Rockhopper. An overnight in Ushuaia, Argentina—an adventurer’s haven at the edge of the planet—hop aboard the antique train to the "End of the World" and don't forget to send a postcard from the tiny post office there. Make your way to Museo Marítimo & Museo del Presidio to walk the cells and imagine what prison life would have been like here at the end of the world.
 
Ushuaia is on the banks of the Beagle Channel, which is where our journey takes us next. Spend the day cruising before setting off for Punta Arenas, Chile. With a late departure from this hub of history and trade, there is plenty of time to stroll the Plaza de Armas, shop along Avenida Bories, or take your journey to the skies with an Azamara chartered plane to discover the ultimate beauty of Torres del Paine National Park from above.
 
Cruising the Strait of Magellan through the breathtaking Chilean Fjords follows. During this two day voyage, keep your eyes peeled for the 41 lighthouses along the waterway—some of which are more than a century old. Another day at sea offers an opportunity to indulge in spa treatments onboard the Azamara Quest before arriving for a late stay in Puerto Chacabuco, a serene natural escape in Northeastern Chilean Patagonia. Stretching from the snowy Andes to the inland river valleys, it’s an excellent port for further outdoor exploration in places like the expansive Río Simpson National Reserve.
 
Then we arrive in Puerto Montt, an urban oasis in the middle of serene natural beauty. Part of the Chilean Lakes District, this regional hub offers the perfect blend of shopping, sightseeing, and history. Be sure to visit Petrohue Falls, explore Osorno Volcano, stock up on traditional alpaca wool goods crafted by local artisans, and grab a quick lunch of cancato—a Chilean dish made of fish, chorizo, tomato, and cheese.
 
One last day at sea brings you to the port of San Antonio, located in the valley of one of Chile’s finest wine regions in the Coastal Mountain Range. Sip your way around the oceanside vineyards of the Layda Valley, sampling the excellent Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs the region is known for. Explore extraordinary biodiversity and coastal wetlands at Parque Humedal Río Maipo, stroll the beautiful sea walk, and savor the city’s vibrant culinary scene. Want to keep your journey going?
