Explore the Breathtaking Black Sea

More than just a body of water—the Black Sea is a keeper of secrets. Some say it is the location of Noah’s Biblical flood, while others suggest it’s the site of the lost city of Atlantis. One thing you can be sure of: your 14-Night Black Sea Voyage is sure to be memorable.

Our adventure begins in Athens, Europe’s oldest city and home to innumerable wonders. A relaxing day at sea provides the perfect opportunity to rest and recharge before sailing on to Thessaloniki, the cultural capital of Greece.

Next, set your gaze on Kavala, a beautiful whitewashed city crowned by a 15th century Byzantine castle and framed by fantastic beaches. From here, pamper yourself with a spa day aboard your boutique hotel at sea as we cruise the Bosphorus Strait, an ancient waterway that carries adventurers from the Sea of Marmara to the Black Sea.
Discover Romanian folklore and great wines in Constanta, and visit the famous Opera and Ballet Theater and Potemkin Stairs in Odessa. Treat yourself to specialty dining during an overnight at-sea stay.

Next, it’s on to the resort town of Varna, Bulgaria, followed by an overnight stay in Istanbul. Let the city take you on a journey of discovery. Start with the iconic Hagia Sofia, then see where the pulse of the city leads you next.

The next day, arrive in Kepez, the gateway to Canakkale, Troy, and Gallipoli. A late night in Ephesus allows plenty of time for you to explore. Once the second-largest city in Roman Europe, the ancient attractions here are truly spectacular, including the Library of Celsus, the Odeon, and the marble-made Arcadian Street. Continue your experience with a walk in the footsteps of John the Apostle on the holy island of Patmos before concluding your journey returning to the great city of Athens. If you’re not ready to leave just yet, set out on one of our immersive Land Programs.
