The Passion and Spirit of South America

Dust off your dancing shoes for this 12-night sailing to some of South America’s most exciting cities, with late or overnights in almost every port. Ready to try the tango? Arrive early in our embarkation port of Buenos Aires and get a lesson with locals and enjoy this spirited city even more thanks to an overnight before we even leave port. Next, it’s on to Montevideo, where you can ramble along what is arguably the world’s longest sidewalk, La Rambla, and take your time soaking in the city’s elegant European flair while we linger here for an overnight stay. In Punta del Este, art and nature pair in perfect harmony. Spend time sunbathing, touring the open-air sculpture park, and soaking up one of the world’s most appealing seaside resorts.

We then spend two relaxing luxurious days at sea, so you can put your newfound tango skills to the test at the Cabaret Lounge or the Living Room. Get set to samba along the Brazilian coast for the next few days. São Paolo is dynamic, diverse, and definitely worth exploring—if only for its rich food culture. From there, we sail to Ilhabela, a Brazilian archipelago known for its pristine natural beauty, picture-perfect beaches, and ecotourism. In contrast to Brazil’s largest city, the colonial gold rush town of Paraty seems frozen in time, while picturesque Buzios boasts 20 beaches and chic shopping.

The real highlight of this voyage is your closing overnight in Rio de Janeiro. Take in sweeping views of the city and soaring mountains beyond when you trek up to the towering Christ the Redeemer statue, and live it up with the locals at the world’s most famous stretch of sand—Copacabana Beach before your departure home.

If you’re not ready to leave just yet, set out on one of our immersive Land Programs
