Enchanting España

Your journey through Spain starts in neighboring Portugal, where you have the day to explore Lisbon’s thriving cultural scene and memorable historic sites. Next, it’s on to the Algarve region and Portimão with its golden sandy beaches beneath dramatic cliffs, and the aroma of fresh sardines on the grill.

Your first stop in Spain is Seville. You’ll have two days to experience landmarks such as the Plaza de España and the city’s cathedral with its famous Giralda — the 342-foot tower that has been a landmark of Seville since the Middle Ages. On a late stay in Cádiz, marvel at Moorish architecture, then it’s on to late-night English respite in the fascinating coastal city of Gibraltar. It’s a natural fortress with a 360-degree view of three countries and two continents. Next, travel to Málaga and enjoy the artwork of its most famous citizen at the Museo Picasso.

Then it’s on to sunny Valencia for an overnight stay. Explore the city’s charming old town, discover living history at the Catedral de Santa Maria de Valencia and La Lonja de la Seda, and try Valencia’s most famous dish, paella, while experiencing the city’s dynamic nightlife. In Palma de Mallorca, use your late stay to explore the world’s largest underground lake at the Drach Caves and visit the city’s oldest olive mill. Your journey concludes with an overnight in beautiful Barcelona. Filled with art, architecture, and cuisine, thriving markets, and unique culture, this seaside city makes for an extraordinary final destination before returning home.
