Begin your voyage in the cradle of civilization, Athens, where a wealth of ancient landmarks await. Awake the next morning in Mykonos to discover its traditional white-washed homes, 16th century windmills, and vibrant nightlife during a late stay. Then, prepare yourself for some of the world’s most swoon-worthy sunsets in Santorini during a second late-night stay.
The magnificent 2,000-year-old Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre where St. Paul used to preach, and the marble-made Arcadian Street are just a few of the sights to experience in Ephesus, Turkey on another late stay. And for your fourth late-stay in a row, continue to historic Rhodes and be transported back to the days of the Byzantine Empire.
Next, it’s off to the Crete port of Agios Nikolaos, which blends all the charms of a small fishing village with the glamor of a chic resort town. The seaside town of Pylos dates back to the Bronze Age, so there are plenty of historic gems to uncover, and be beguiled by the intense beauty of Corfu. Home to turquoise blue waters and gorgeous sandy beaches, you’ll soon see why it was Shakespeare’s setting for The Tempest. (Thanks to yet another late stay, you can linger a little longer here.)
After a relaxing day at sea, the voyage ends in “The Mosaic City” of Ravenna, Italy. Take a tour from here to Bologna, where you can stroll through Piazza Maggiore, visit the seven churches of Santo Stefano Basilica, and sample the best of Italian cuisine in Quadrilatero and the Mercato Delle Erbe—be sure to try local specialties like tortellini, Parma ham, and balsamic vinegar.
