Trek deep into one of the most mysterious and important ecosystems in South Africa - the mangrove forests. This walking tour is limited to just 15 guests to ensure everyone enjoys an immersive and interactive adventure. You'll follow a boardwalk through the Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve, a 188-acred protected sanctuary boasting an incredible population of red, black and white mangroves. The reserve is also home to an abundance of birds, including the Mangrove Kingfisher and the Water Dikkop. You're also likely to bump into a Mudskipper, an amphibious fish that can climb out of the water and skip across the muddy landscape. You'll be led by a local guide and joined by a World Wildlife Fund expert who'll provide insight into this unique eco-system you won't find anywhere else. The day ends with a group lunch and plenty of great stories at a local restaurant. Azamara is proud to announce that $30 from the sale of this tour goes to support WWF conservation efforts in South Africa.
