Explore the historic neighborhoods and winding alleys of Bonifacio, a clifftop treasure perched above Corsica’s southern shores. The fun begins with a ride aboard the “Petit Train”, a local hallmark that winds through the oldest streets of town, taking you past St. Francis Convent and the Church of St. Dominique, a stunning example of Corsican Gothic Architecture likely built by the legendary Knights Templar. Rumble into the heart of town, where Napoleon and Charles V once spent a few days together, visit a local market and soak up views from an overlook 230 feet above the sea below. Reach the great Citadel of Bonifacio to explore this fortified city anchored in limestone. Then, it’s time to descend the 100 steps leading back to the waterfront. Stroll past a local church honoring mariners and a host of other historic landmarks before concluding with some free time to shop along the waterfront.
Enjoy a fun-filled overview of Bonifacio’s most historic streets on a narrated tour aboard the wheeled mini train.
Set off on a guided walk through the town’s narrow streets rimmed by granite houses and gothic wonders.
Soak up the ambiance as you pass gothic churches and explore the very streets Napoleon once walked.
