OverviewHide
Your day begins with a drive to Egypt’s largest city, Cairo. Stop at the Citadel of Saladin, where you can admire the exquisite interiors of the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Then, drive to the River Nile, where a luxurious cruise boat awaits to sail you on the same timeless waterway traversed by pharaohs, queens, and nobles thousands of years ago. Enjoy a buffet lunch in elaborate interiors as you glide past Cairo’s waterfront landmarks. Your last stop is the Giza Plateau, where The Great Pyramids of Giza are found. Explore the pyramids on your own before continuing down the valley to visit the guardian of this mortuary complex, the mysterious Sphinx. Then, continue to a Papyrus Institute where you'll see a demonstration on the art of paper making from reeds first discovered by the Ancient Egyptians. Spend some time souvenir shopping before your return drive to Alexandria.
