Begin your journey with a drive around the beautiful bay, climbing past Mount Aenos to reach the Drogarati Caves. Here, on foot, follow a flight of steps leading into a cavern of orange and yellow stalactites and stalagmites. Continue to the shores of Lake Melissani, the island's largest cave lake. Descend a man-made tunnel to the water's edge to board a small rowboat for a scenic ride around the majestic cavern, which once yielded ancient relics from a former Minoan culture, including figures of the god Pan and several nymphs. View dramatic stalactites and stalagmites that border its natural aquamarine waters. On your drive back to the port, stop for photos at a panoramic spot overlooking the most famous beach of Cephalonia, Myrtos Beach, once described as one of the most dramatic beaches in Greece with its mile-and-a-half long arc of dazzling white pebbles.
Explore Melissani Lake, where you ride in a small rowboat on the aquamarine waters into a cave full of incredible stalactites and stalagmites.
Visit the Drogarati Caves, where you climb down 200 stairs to view the bright warm-colored stalactites and stalagmites.
