    This morning, you’ll be met at the airport and escorted to Almancil in the Algarve—known for its three Michelin-starred restaurants—visiting the UNESCO world heritage town of Évora, Portugal’s most beautifully preserved medieval town, en route. Whilst here, visit Giraldo Square, the Templo de Diana, the St. Francis Church and its famous Chapel of Bones, and wander the grounds of the university, one of Europe’s oldest. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll continue onto Almancil. This evening, dinner will be at your hotel.

    Today, begins with a boat tour of Ria Formosa National Park, a scenic swirl of freshwater lagoons, sandy islands, and lush salt marshlands. Then venture onto the town of Olhão, the Algarve’s largest fishing port, to explore its famous market, meet local vendors, and learn about the region’s foods and cuisines. After, head back Almancil for a traditional lunch with a local family, before taking a trip to the Castelo in Silves, for terrific views over the town and surrounding countryside. Then progresses to Cape St. Vincent, the so-called “end of the world,” and Sagres, the only place in the world where white storks are known to rest on cliff faces.

    Enjoy your morning at leisure before being escorted to the train station for your transfer to Lisbon. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and taken to your hotel, where you’ll have plenty of time to freshen up and relax, before this evening’s special wine tasting followed by a gourmet dinner and performance at a Fado club.

    Enjoy a city highlights tour to the 17th-century Palácio dos Marqueses de Fronteira, the official residence of the Marqueses de Fronteira—who still lives here—and is one of the most well-kept examples of baroque architecture in Lisbon. Then it’s onto an artisanal bakery to learn about Mosteiro dos Jerónimos’ secret recipe for the Pastéis de Belém. Next in store, is a tapas-tour lunch to sample many local foods. Tonight, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Tajo River, to see some of the beautiful and uniquely designed bridges that Lisbon is famous for. After, venture into the Barrio Alto neighborhood, for dinner at a local restaurant.
