Iguazu Falls to/from Brazil

Upon arrival in Rio, you’ll be escorted to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up, enjoy time at leisure, exploring the city made famous for its dramatic landscapes and feather-festooned Carnaval, and discover why Rio is called the Marvelous City.

Today, you’ll fly to Iguazu Falls where, upon arrival, you will head over to the Brazilian side of the Falls. Enjoy a leisurely walk down from the top, with a different viewpoint and perspective of the thundering water each step of the way. Once at the bottom, either take an elevator or walk back up to the top for lunch at the Belmond Das Cataratas, before being transferred to your hotel in the Argentinean side where dinner will be served. The particular path taken may vary and the tour sequence and timing are dependent upon flight schedules. Lunch at Belmond Das Cataratas may be replaced by lunch at Puerto Canoas. The tour sequence may vary.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on your guided tour, walking through the upper falls area, over a mile of catwalks that, at some point, allow you to stand right on the edge and peer down into the River Parana, for an up-close look at the water arc formed by the San Martin Falls. Next, you’ll make your way down the park train to the Devil’s Throat, the most impressive and immense fall of them all, before embarking on an exhilarating and unforgettable boat journey, for close-up views of the seven most important falls on the Argentinian National Park side of the falls. Afterwards, return to to your hotel, where you can relax and freshen up before regrouping for dinner at a the Melia Hotel.

Today, you’ll visit Jasy Pora Guarani Village to meet with some of Guarani tribe families. The indigenous village is located inside a 600-hectare property in the middle of the Yriapu rainforest. You’ll meet and greet children at the local school, and be guided into the rainforest by a village elder, who’ll describe the tribe’s way of life and how they’ve learned to be self-sustainable on the wildlife and fauna. After this experience, lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Puerto Iguazú city, before being transferred to the airport for your return flight to Rio de Janeiro, where you’ll be assisted to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Today you have the day at leisure to get in some last-minute shopping before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
