2-Night City Stay in Gran Canaria

Upon arrival, meet your local guide and head towards Arucas. In Agaete, a pretty coastal town, discover traditional Canarian architecture, the tree-lined Calle de la Concepción, and the only coffee-producing plantation in Europe. Be welcomed with a tour of the grounds that grow coffee beans and other fruit before sitting down for a sampling of Canarian cuisine paired with native wines and coffee varieties. While here, take the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and learn how to make Mojo Sauce. Once in Arucas, you’ll find pedestrian streets lined with elegant historic buildings, a museum dedicated to local artists, and the Parque Municipal de Arucas de las Flores. Enjoy free time to shop and dine while exploring on your own. Afterward, return to your hotel, where you can rest before rejoining for dinner at the hotel restaurant, La Bodeguita 1890.

Following breakfast, drive towards the Caldera de Bandama. Take a detour through Los Hoyos to see the El Monte vineyards before arriving at the Caldera, an extinct volcanic crater. Nearby La Atalaya is a pottery-producing village where you can buy ceramics. In Santa Brígida and La Cumbre you’ll enjoy a coffee break surrounded by colorful architecture. From here, you’ll reach Los Pechos, where you should be able to see Spain’s highest mountain, El Teide, on neighboring Tenerife, and the Roque de Nublo, a 70-meter basalt monolith. A lunch of local specialties will be served at Fataga, one of the oldest village in Spain. Afterwards, you’ll reboard your tour van and head to Fataga’s ravine and the famous valley of a thousand palms. Once back in Las Palmas, take some time for yourself to relax and explore the city’s wide array of restaurants.

Spend your morning enjoying a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and exploring the nearby neighborhoods on your own before transferring to the airport and flying home.
